A fundraiser to benefit JABA’s Cool-Aid Program.

Chill out to help those in need stay cool this summer. Enjoy barbecue or a veggie dinner and the laid back sounds of members of the Acoustic Groove Trio, plus Bennie Dodd in JABA’s garden, with Host Les Sinclair of Z95.1.

Cash in for Cool-Aid at the Silent Auction from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.

Cool-Aid provides cooling equipment to low-income people of all ages who are medically endangered by the heat.

Cool-Aid: JABA Provides air conditioners

JABA’s Cool-Aid Program provides window air-conditions to applicants having a household income of 1.5 times the federal poverty level or less, and who comply in the following categories:

• Applicants must be residents of the City of Charlottesville, or the counties of Albemarle, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa or Nelson.
• Applicants 60 years old or older can qualify.
• Applicants who are disabled or severely ill of any age who can provide a doctor's prescription stating air conditioning would beneficial to their health, can qualify.
• Applicants cannot currently have any working household air conditioning.

Fans and assistance for utility bills incurred during the Cool-Aid program are also available to approved applicants. We rely on donations from to public for this program, so please consider making a contribution if you can afford it.
