Kim Peel brings more than 19 years of experience in the nonprofit sector in addition to an extensive background in foundation work to the position. Director of Philanthropy, Peel now leads JABA’s comprehensive fundraising and donor program. Her responsibilities encompass annual giving, major gifts, grant writing, special events and foundation support.
Prior to joining JABA, Kim Peel operated a consulting practice providing technical assistance in development and grant writing to nonprofit organizations. She also has served as Capital Campaign Development Director for the Treasure Valley Family YMCA in Idaho, where she managed the fundraising and donor cultivation efforts for a $22 million capital campaign. Her experience includes tenures as the Donor Relations Officer for the Idaho Community Foundation and Grants Coordinator for the J.A. and Kathryn Albertson Foundation, with oversight of the grant and contract activity of the foundation, as well as the administration of technical records for the Boise State University Foundation. A Past-President of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) - Idaho Chapter, and the Southwest Idaho Planned Giving Council, Peel also served as a national review panelist for the AFP Awards for Excellence in Fundraising and the AFP Award for Outstanding Foundation. She is a graduate of Boise State University with a degree in business management.
