JABA, Albemarle Bank, to hold drive thru fundraiser
Go back...On Friday, July 27th from noon until 6 p.m., Albemarle First Bank and the Jefferson Area Board for Aging will present Cool-Aid Drive-Thru Day to benefit the Cool-Aid program. Channel 29 will be on hand with a live remote featuring Norm Sprouse as contributors drive through the parking lot of the bank (soon to be United Bank) at 1265 Seminole Trail. The donations benefit the Cool-Aid program, which provides air conditioners and fans to members of the community of all ages who are in need of cooling equipment due to health problems.
Live entertainment will take place throughout the day. Musical entertainment will feature the Acoustic Groove Trio, Joe Tucker and friends, Beverly Seng, Junior Moment and Don Payne and Friends. Community leaders will appear on camera throughout the day.
