Living as an elder should be an enjoyable part of your life. Why not enjoy yourself as part of a community that learns, plays and works together? At JABA, we have designed our Community Centers and our Adult Care Centers to promote fun and fellowship.
Support
JABA is all about lending support to seniors in need of assistance. Whether that includes basic information, case management, insurance counseling, home delivered meals — or any of the many other available services — we want you to think of JABA as a source of support for you or your loved ones. Most of our support is offered as a gift to those who cannot pay. See individual programs for more details.
Give
JABA is able to do all that it does because of generous volunteers and donors. We value contributions of time as well as dollars and promise to put your talents and your donations to very good use.
In the past five years, government funding has diminished. Luckily, individual and corporate contributions have begun to rise. Your assistance is greatly appreciated and needed.

434-823-4307Mountainside is the heart of Crozet, a small town about twenty minutes west of Charlottesville, Virginia. Residents soon become members of the larger community of Crozet, an historic town filled with family restaurants and shops, many within walking distance.
The Mountainside living environment includes a large cheerful dining room, a sitting room, a chapel, as well as an outside sitting area and garden. Each furnished living space (private or semi-private) has a bathroom, equipped with safety bars. Utilities, housekeeping and linens are included in our affordable rates, along with all meals and nutritional snacks. Cable TV and private phone lines are optional.
Many individual and group activities are readily available to residents of Mountainside, who never lack opportunity for entertainment, companionship, community involvement, nor involvement in intergenerational events. Many residents enjoy volunteering at a variety of local organizations. Transportation is both scheduled and available as needed, at no cost.
Resident health, safety and security are our highest priorities. Onsite medical services, coupled with regular “home” visits by a resident’s physician contribute to preventative care. We provide assistance with medication and physical, occupational and speech therapy, as needed. In addition, each room is equipped with an emergency response system. Healthcare plans are reviewed by our medical director. An important aspect of the successful person-centered care approach is seen in the active Resident Council which allows residents to make decisions about their care and life at Mountainside
Our extended family includes the friends and family members of our residents. We invite them to become involved in the community by dropping in during the lengthy visiting hours or by reserving the sunroom to join a loved one for a private meal.

Mountainside Rates are deliberately kept affordable:
- Large private room $3,062 per month
- Regular Private room: $2,375 per month
- Small private room: $1,864 per month
- Semi-private room: $2,190 per month
- A deposit equal to the first month’s room rate is due upon admission.
- Payments are due by the 15th of each month
