The Board of Directors of the Jefferson Area Board for Aging (JABA) is pleased to announce that it has named its long-time employee, Christina Evans, as its Chief Executive Officer effective July 7, 2025.
Dick Gibson, JABA Board Chair, shared that “Today, the JABA Board of Directors met for a special session and unanimously named Christina Evans as the organization’s Chief Executive Officer. Christina willingly stepped into the CEO interim role in April and, in a short period, has proven to be the leader JABA needs to move forward. With her 20-year career in both the public and private sectors, focusing on policy, regulations, and relationship building, Christina is prepared to lead JABA into the future.”
Christina Evans shared that “Over the past five years at JABA, I’ve been proud to reflect the values that guide our work and make this organization so impactful,” said Evans. “It’s an honor to step into the CEO role, and I’m excited for the opportunity to further advance JABA’s mission throughout the community. I look forward to collaborating with our dedicated partners and community members to respond to the growing needs of those we serve.”
JABA is fortunate to benefit from Ms. Evans’ experience, business acumen, and compassion, as she leads efforts to best serve the most vulnerable populations in our communities.
