JABA Remembers LD Perry

JABA is saddened by the loss of one of its long-standing Advisory Board members, LD Perry. Mr. Perry joined JABA’s Advisory Board in 2018 and was appointed by the Charlottesville City Council. As an advocate for the rights of older adults, Mr. Perry was a champion for better housing conditions, transportation, and the well-being of the aging population in Charlottesville.

He tirelessly worked to find opportunities for older adults to improve their lives, even when he was struggling with his health. He often discussed academics and how to resolve certain issues that impact adults over 60 and people in general in this country. He spoke highly of the work that JABA conducts in Central Virginia, providing a pathway for individuals to live in their community of choice. JABA and the Charlottesville community will surely miss him, and we are grateful for his service.
