Ending of Companion Support/Homemaker Program by the Jefferson Area Board for Aging (JABA)

To the Public:
The Jefferson Area Board for Aging (JABA) will discontinue the Companion Support/Homemaker program effective November 30, 2026. This action will end all services, eligibility determinations, and administrative functions under the program as currently authorized.
Reason for Termination:
The program is being discontinued due to agency funding needs to support other programs offered by JABA.
Impact on Participants:
All current participants will be notified directly by JABA.
Services under the program will cease on November 30, 2026.
Participants may be eligible for alternative services; current clients will be contacted in writing by JABA staff.
